岩佐歩夢選手、富士テスト2日目Session4で1位へ

6月6日（金）から7日（土）、富士スピードウェイ（静岡県小山町）で行われた公式テスト2日目のSession4でTEAM MUGEN No.15 岩佐歩夢選手が1'23.041でトップタイムを記録。

On the second day of the official test held at Fuji Speedway (Oyama Town, Shizuoka Prefecture) from Friday, June 6 to Saturday, June 7, Ayumu Iwasa of TEAM MUGEN, driving car No. 15, recorded the fastest lap in Session 4 with a time of 1'23.041.

2日間行われた今回のSF公式テストは各Session、2時間30分が与えられ全体で4 Sessionをこなし合計10時間ものテストとなった。SFも残すところ7戦となるが、実に残り7戦中4戦が今回テストが行われた富士スピードウェイとなるだけに各チーム非常に重要なテストとなった。

The official Super Formula test spanned two days and consisted of four sessions, each lasting two and a half hours, totaling 10 hours of testing. With only seven rounds remaining in the Super Formula season—and notably, four of those to be held at Fuji Speedway, the same venue as this test—the event was especially critical for all teams.

ここまで岩佐歩夢選手はドライバーズポイント41pts.で総合4位につけているが表彰台を確実にするレース展開もマシントラブルやタイヤナット外れによるリタイヤ等、チームとしてもドライバーとしても思い通りにならない悔しいレースが続いており、2日間行われた今回のテストでマシンセットアップからタイヤマネジメント、ピットストップ作業等でロング、ショートを交えて度重ねて様々な重要な確認を行った模様だ。

Ayumu Iwasa currently stands fourth in the drivers’ standings with 41 points. Although he has shown the potential for podium finishes, a series of unfortunate events including mechanical issues and a retirement due to a loose wheel nut have prevented both the team and driver from achieving the results they aimed for. Over the two-day test, the team carried out numerous important checks and adjustments, ranging from car setup and tire management to pit stop operations, incorporating both long and short runs.

テスト終盤にはタイヤが突如バーストする事態に見舞われたものの、マシン自体にほぼ損傷はなく予定通り全てのテストをチーム、ドライバーとしても良いテストであったとの情報が入っているが、このタイヤバーストに関しては更に原因を追究しているようだ。

Towards the end of the test, the team encountered an unexpected tire blowout. Fortunately, the car sustained little to no damage, and the team was able to complete the entire test program as planned. Reports indicate that both the team and driver considered it a productive test overall. However, the cause of the tire blowout is still under investigation.

岩佐歩夢選手からも今回のテストで更に良いパフォーマンスをするための課題等を見つけることができチームとしてもピット作業含め更に速く確実でコンスタントなパフォーマンスがあり次戦に向けてとてもポジティブだとのコメントがあった。

Ayumu Iwasa commented that the team was able to identify areas for improvement to achieve even better performance. He also noted that the team showed quicker, more reliable, and consistent performance—including during pit stops—which gives them a very positive outlook heading into the next round.

次戦、2025 SF Round 6&7 は 7月18日(金)～20日(日) 富士スピードウェイ（静岡県小山町）にて2戦（予選・決勝）が行われる。

The next event, 2025 SF Rounds 6 & 7, will be held at Fuji Speedway (Oyama Town, Shizuoka Prefecture) from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, featuring two races (qualifying and finals).
