2026 Super Formula Championship

In the 2026 Super Formula (SF) Championship, TEAM MUGEN will compete with a two-car lineup, leveraging its accumulated expertise and advanced technology to aim for both the Drivers' Championship and the Team Championship.

As in 2025, the team will use Honda engines, and the car numbers will be # 1, champion number and #16.

 

Team Drivers

The team’s driver lineup includes:

• Tomoki Nojiri, a highly experienced and accomplished driver who set the record for most pole positions in Super Formula history at Suzuka this season.

• Ayumu Iwasa, who achieved an impressive 5th place in the 2024 Super Formula Drivers’ Championship despite being a rookie. He was also named the 2024 Super Formula Rookie of the Year and received the Newcomer Award at the 54th Prime Minister’s Cup Japan Pro Sports Awards.​ 2025 Super Formula Driver's champion.

 

With these two outstanding drivers, TEAM MUGEN AUTOBACS is determined to capture both the Drivers' and Team Championships in the 2026 season.
