【開催直前】岩佐歩夢、初優勝の地・SUGOへ。再び頂点を目指す― SUPER FORMULA Rd.8 プレビュー ―

2026年の全日本スーパーフォーミュラ選手権も、いよいよ後半戦へ。

次なる舞台は、宮城県のスポーツランドSUGO。

8月8日（土）・9日（日）に開催される第8戦東北大会に、岩佐歩夢選手・TEAM MUGEN AUTOBACSが挑みます。

第7戦終了時点で、岩佐選手はドライバーズランキング2位。ここからの一戦一戦が、シリーズタイトル争いに向けて重要な戦いとなります。

そして今回の舞台SUGOは、岩佐選手にとって特別なサーキットです。

The 2026 All Japan Super Formula Championship is entering its second half of the season.

The next stage is Sportsland SUGO in Miyagi Prefecture.

Ayumu Iwasa and TEAM MUGEN AUTOBACS will take on the Round 8 Tohoku event, held on August 8 (Sat) and 9 (Sun).

As of the end of Round 7, Iwasa sits in 2nd place in the Drivers' Championship. Every single race from here on out will be a crucial battle in the fight for the series title.

Furthermore, SUGO is a special circuit for Iwasa.

岩佐歩夢にとって「初優勝の地」

2025年の第8戦SUGO大会。

雨に見舞われた難しいコンディションの中、岩佐選手はポールポジションからスタートすると、最後までトップを守り切り、SUPER FORMULAで自身初となる優勝を飾りました。

岩佐選手にとって、SUGOはSUPER FORMULAで初めて勝利を手にした場所。

あれから1年。

2026年はディフェンディングチャンピオンとして、再びこの地へ戻ってきます。

初優勝を飾った思い出のサーキットで、再び頂点を目指します。

The Circuit Where Ayumu Iwasa Claimed His First SUPER FORMULA Victory

At the 2025 SUGO Round 8, held under difficult wet conditions, Iwasa started from pole position and led the race from start to finish, securing his first-ever SUPER FORMULA victory.

For Iwasa, SUGO will always be remembered as the place where he achieved his maiden win in the championship.

Now, one year later, he returns to the circuit as the defending champion.

Back at the venue where he celebrated his first victory, Iwasa is determined to fight for the top step of the podium once again.

スポーツランドSUGOは、アップダウンに富んだテクニカルなコース。

高速コーナーと低速コーナーが組み合わされ、ドライバーの技術はもちろん、マシンセットアップやタイヤマネージメントも重要になります。

さらに、天候や路面コンディションの変化がレース展開を大きく左右することも。

ドライバーとチームの総合力が問われるSUGOで、どのような戦いが繰り広げられるのか、注目です。

Sportsland SUGO is a technical circuit featuring dramatic elevation changes, a combination of high-speed and low-speed corners, and demanding driving conditions.

Success here depends not only on driver skill but also on precise car setup and effective tire management.

Weather and changing track conditions can also have a major impact on race strategy.

It will be exciting to see how both the drivers and teams rise to the challenge this weekend.
