2025 SF第3,4戦モビリティリゾートもてぎ 結果

SF第3戦、第4戦がモビリティリゾートもてぎ(栃木県茂木町)にて4月19日(土)、20日(日)の日程で行われました。4月18日(金)にはフリー走行が行われ、TEAM MUGENは2台のマシンの極め細やかなセッティングを続け、翌日から行われた予選、決勝に苦しみながらも果敢に挑みました。


Rounds 3 and 4 of the Super Formula were held at Mobility Resort Motegi (in Motegi Town, Tochigi Prefecture) on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20. On Friday, April 18, free practice sessions took place, during which TEAM MUGEN continued to meticulously fine-tune the settings of their two machines. Despite facing challenges in both the qualifying and the races held over the following days, the team tackled the competition with determination.


SF第3戦となる4月19日(土)午前中に行われた予選は本来TEAM MUGENが持つ本来の強さまでには至たらず、#15 岩佐歩夢選手が予選1'31.392 で6位、#16 野尻智紀選手は予選1'31.548で8位となりました。同日午後に行われた決勝では#15 岩佐歩夢選手が全体4位走行中、28周目(全33周)、残り僅か6周弱を残すところで突如ギアが落ちないマシントラブルに陥り、コース外にマシンを止めマシンから降りる結果(DNF)となりました。


The qualifying session for Round 3 of Super Formula took place on the morning of Saturday, April 19. Unfortunately, TEAM MUGEN was unable to fully demonstrate their usual strength. Driver No.15 Ayumu Iwasa qualified in 6th place with a time of 1'31.392, while driver No.16 Tomoki Nojiri secured 8th place with a time of 1'31.548.

In the race held later that afternoon, No.15 Ayumu Iwasa was running in 4th position overall. However, on lap 28 of the 33-lap race—with just under six laps remaining—he suddenly experienced a mechanical issue where the gears would not downshift. As a result, he was forced to stop the car off-track and retire from the race (DNF).


トラブルに見舞わるまでは路面温度41℃という高温の中でも上手くタイヤマネジメントを行い、OTS(オーバーテイクシステム)の残量も158秒残しながら3位のPONOS NAKAJIMA RACING #65 イゴール・フラガ選手に1秒弱まで近づいておりチームとしても岩佐歩夢選手としても戦略的で素晴らしい走りができていただけに悔しい結果となりました。#16 野尻智紀選手も非常に苦しいレース展開の中でも最後まで諦めないレース運びで9位フィニッシュし2pts.を獲得しましたが、強豪であるTEAM MUGENならびに両ドライバーにとって悔しい結果となりました。


Until the unfortunate mechanical issue occurred, Ayumu Iwasa had been managing his tires exceptionally well despite the high track temperature of 41°C. He also had a strategic advantage with 158 seconds of OTS (Overtake System) remaining and had closed the gap to less than one second behind No.65 Igor Fraga of PONOS NAKAJIMA RACING, who was running in 3rd place. It was a frustrating result for both the team and Iwasa, as he had been executing a strong and well-planned race. Meanwhile, No.16 Tomoki Nojiri also faced a very challenging race but showed great perseverance, never giving up and finishing in 9th place, earning 2 points. However, for a top-tier team like TEAM MUGEN and both of its drivers, the weekend ended in disappointment.


尚、優勝は DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING #5 牧野任祐選手、2位 DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING #6 太田格之進選手、3位 PONOS NAKAJIMA RACING #65 イゴール・オオムラ・フラガ選手となりました。


The winner of the race was No.5 Tadasuke Makino from DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING, with No.6 Kakunoshin Ohta, also from DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING, finishing in 2nd place. No.65 Igor Omura Fraga from PONOS NAKAJIMA RACING secured 3rd place.

SF第4戦となる4月20日(日)は昨日と天候も変わり午前中の気温は低め、予選は新スペックタイヤとマシンのセッティングが上手くかみ合わず、#16 野尻智紀選手が1'32.240で7位、#15 岩佐歩夢選手は1'32.325で9位からの決勝スタートとなりました。


On Sunday, April 20, Round 4 of Super Formula saw a change in weather compared to the previous day, with cooler temperatures in the morning. During qualifying, the new spec tires did not match well with the car setup, resulting in No.16 Tomoki Nojiri qualifying 7th with a time of 1'32.240, and No.15 Ayumu Iwasa starting from 9th with a time of 1'32.325.


決勝がはじまった直後第1コーナー、後方で数台のマシンが絡むアクシデントが発生しレース1周目からセーフティーカー(SC)が導入される中、TEAM MUGEN#15 岩佐歩夢選手を含み8台を残してほぼ全マシンがタイヤ交換を行う波乱含みの展開となりました。


Right after the race started, an incident involving several cars occurred at Turn 1, bringing out the Safety Car (SC) on the opening lap. Amidst the chaos, nearly all cars pitted to change tires, except for eight machines, including TEAM MUGEN’s No.15 Ayumu Iwasa.


タイヤ交換は必ずレース中1回は行わなければならないSFルール。コース上で走り続けることは最終的にはタイヤ交換を行わねばならず、その時までどれだけ後方を引き離せるかが勝負となります。チームと#15 岩佐歩夢選手はその戦略を取り、28周目(全37周)までタイヤ交換をせずに走り続けました。


According to Super Formula rules, each driver must make at least one tire change during the race. Those who stay out early must eventually pit, making it crucial to build up as much of a gap as possible before doing so. TEAM MUGEN and Iwasa opted for this strategy, running without a tire change until lap 28 of the 37-lap race.


タイヤは常に摩耗を重ねるため、マシンをコントロールするドライバーにとって可能な限り長くタイヤを保たせるためには優れたドライビングテクニックが必要となります。#15 岩佐歩夢選手はこの優れたタイヤマネジメント力を発揮し最終3位表彰台という素晴らしい結果となりました。#16野尻智紀選手は継続的に今週は新スペックのタイヤとマシンの相性に苦しみ10位という悔しい結果でレースを終えましたが本来持つ、野尻智紀選手の能力とマシン、タイヤのセッティングが重なると間違いなく上位に食い込むため、次回以降のレースに注目です。


Since tires wear down continuously, maintaining performance for such a long stint demands exceptional driving skills. Iwasa demonstrated outstanding tire management and delivered a brilliant performance, finishing on the podium in 3rd place. Meanwhile, No.16 Tomoki Nojiri continued to struggle with the compatibility between the new tires and his machine, finishing in a disappointing 10th place. However, Nojiri’s proven abilities mean that once the machine and tires are in sync, he is expected to be a strong contender in future races.

The race was won by No.6 Kakunoshin Ohta of DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING, with No.5 Tadasuke Makino, also from DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING, finishing in 2nd. No.15 Ayumu Iwasa of AUTOBACS TEAM MUGEN secured 3rd place.
