F1 2025 第20戦 MEXICO GP FP1 岩佐選手搭乗！

F1 第20戦 メキシコGPはメキシコシティ近郊のエルマノス・ロドリゲスサーキット（全長4.304km)にて10月24（金）～26日（日）の日程で開催され、岩佐歩夢選手がVisa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team (VCARB）よりフリー走行1回目（FP1）に搭乗します。

The 20th round of the Formula 1 season, the Mexican Grand Prix, will be held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez near Mexico City (4.304 km in length) from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26. Ayumu Iwasa will take part in the first free practice session (FP1) driving for the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team (VCARB).

岩佐選手はF1 2025でVCARBの正式リザーブドライバーとしてシミュレーションドライバー等の仕事をこなし、マシンデータから得られる数々の情報やシミュレーション、岩佐選手のその正確なフィードバックで今期のVCARBを上位へ導くため貢献しています。実際に第15戦オランダGPでは同チームのアイザック・ハジャー選手が初表彰台を獲得。また第19戦終了時のコンストラクターズランキングも同チームは72pts.で6位につけアイザック・ハジャー選手、リアム・ローソン選手、両ドライバーにも良い影響を与える仕事をこなしています。今回メキシコGP/FP1では同チームのリアム・ローソン選手のVCARB 02に搭乗し出走予定です。

In the 2025 Formula 1 season, Ayumu Iwasa serves as the official reserve driver for the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB) team.

In this role, he contributes through his work as a simulation driver, providing precise feedback based on data and insights obtained from the car’s performance and simulations. His accurate input has played a key part in helping VCARB improve its competitiveness this season.

At the 15th round, the Dutch Grand Prix, VCARB driver Isack Hadjar achieved his first-ever podium finish. After 19 rounds, the team currently sits 6th in the Constructors’ Championship with 72 points, and Iwasa’s efforts have also had a positive influence on both Hadjar and Liam Lawson.

For the Mexican Grand Prix FP1, Iwasa is scheduled to drive Liam Lawson’s VCARB 02 car.

Ayumu Iwasa, who is aiming to become a full-time Formula 1 driver, previously drove Max Verstappen’s Oracle Red Bull Racing car during the 2025 season’s Round 4, the Bahrain Grand Prix. This upcoming session will mark his second F1 appearance of the season.

Japanese fans are encouraged to tune in and cheer for him during FP1, which will take place from 3:30 a.m. Japan time on Saturday, October 25. Let’s all stay up late and give him our passionate support throughout the night!
